Month By Month Wedding Themes and Colors: May, June, July

Ah, summer: the season of beach parties, backyard barbeques, and garden soirees. But just because your wedding may fall on the calendar somewhere within the months of May and July, it does not mean that you –the bride –should have to settle for a stereotypical theme or color palette. Rather there are many options to choose from:


Themes: Stepping outside of the box, especially for July weddings, the patriotic approach or a baseball theme could be a wonderful way of displaying your American pride. This could also prove to be an excellent choice should you, your groom, or various members of the guest party are veterans or can, in other ways, identify strongly with these two subjects.

On the other hand, there are many engaging alternatives: Polka Dots or 1950’s Retro, South of the Border, and Rustic Country or Western. Culture is one spice of life that never goes out of style.

However, should the usual themes of beach and garden still retain a sense of charm, the list can continue on to include such options as Fairytale or Enchanted Forest, Asian or Victorian Garden, Hawaiian Luau, Nautical, and Poolside.

Colors: Being a warm season, the colors orange, fuchsia, yellow and pink are but a few favorites upon the bridal palette. However, some additional options include several shades of green as well as Cornflower Blue, aquamarine, and soft purples (Orchid or Aubergine).

May, June, and July Brides: Add a little sizzle to your wedding!
