Floral Alternatives

Next to sweet tooth overindulgence, an overstated floral arrangement is also a potential budget-buster. While studies estimate the average cost of a wedding in the United States to be somewhere between $10,000 and $30,000, the floral arrangement for both the wedding and reception is said to range from $500 to $1,970. However, a more crafty and original option can serve as an adequate alternative while also being pocketbook friendly.

The Feather Bouquet: For that vintage 1930’s/1940’s appeal, a colorful assortment of feathers may just tickle your fancy. One thing is for certain though: peacock feathers never go out of style.

Candy Carnations: For those who just cannot help themselves, you just might be able to able to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours with a bouquet of lollipops or various other candies. Even those of the chocolate variety!

The Button Bouquet: Need more be said?

Origami Arrangement: While the variety of styles may be slightly limited, there are more than enough benefits to make up for it: origami flowers require no water, do not wilt or droop, are recyclable, and can be made to accent any color scheme or theme. Add that exotic touch to your wedding without the strenuous cost.

Old-Fashion Suggestions: Flutter a fan; twirl a parasol; bundle up with a hand muff; or light your way down the aisle with a candle or a lantern.

Don’t be afraid to live it up a little!
