Bachelorette Party Bonanza..Choosing a Theme!

Welcome to Premier Bride's final Bachelorette Party series post! We hope you've had fun learning a few tips for being a grade A party planner. Now it's time to get to the soul of the party...the theme! Here are our top three ideas for fantastic bachelorette party themes!

Theme Idea #1: Spa Day

No doubt about it, your bridal buddy will be super stressed. I mean, those photographers, venues and dj's aren't going to plan themselves! Treat your overworked affianced buddy to a wonderful spa bachelorette party! Invite your closest friends, or maybe just the bridal party) to a day of massages, mani's, pedi's and more! If you're in Houston or the surrounding areas, the Hotel Galvez in Galveston is a must-see. Featuring, get this, a hydraulic massage table (!), relaxation room and hydrotheraphy bath, this spa will be a favorite memory for years to come.

Theme Idea #2 Royal Bachelorette

With this theme, royalty takes centerstage as your bride-to-be is Queen for a night! Start off by outfitting her with a sparkly tiara, you can even throw in a royal scepter for good measure. Then, make sure she feels like a million bucks by having a limo pick her up and chauffeur her around town for a night. Take her to an upscale boutique for a private trunk show, or travel to a wine bar and host an exclusive wine tasting. Finish the night with dinner at a classy restaurant.

Theme Idea #3 Mock Wedding/Amazing Race Party

Ok, we have to admit, we cheated a little here by combing two great themes into one. But, who could blame us? When you combine tacky clothes, role play, and a scavenger hunt into one unforgettable party theme, the results will create memories for years to come! The first part of the theme involves having the bride and her attendess all dress up in tacky wedding wear in order to create a "mock wedding". This includes decades old (the eighties is always a great go to for this kind've thing) wedding dresses and bridesmaids gowns. Then, have everyone split into teams and hit the town to compete in a scavenger hunt modeled after the popular reality show, "Amazing Race." The losing team has to walk into a popular bar, dressed in full costume and buy everyone a round of drinks. Take plenty of pictures, this party will be one for the books!

There you have it, our top three bachelorette party themes. Make sure to stop by Premier Bride's website for great restaurants, hotels, and other wedding vendors to make your wedding a success and the bachelorette party just as fantastic!

Bachelorette Bonanza pt.1: Party Planning Checklist

We begin our bachelorette blog series with an important cardinal rule of bachelorette party planning: Leave it to the Maid of Honor. It's true, with all the bride must worry about, she's going to need her trusty best friend, sister, most valued co-worker/teammate to pick up the slack and direct the ship when it comes to planning her last wild night on the town as a single girl. That said; head-lady-in-waiting...this blog's for you!

The key to planning an unforgettable bridal party is (drumroll please....) pre-planning! This means your calendar has to become your best friend in the days leading up to the wedding. You want to make sure and have the following done...

3 months before:

* Save the Date: Send out invitations to all girls who would make that night one for the books! Make sure everyone has enough time to RSVP, set up baby-sitting arrangements and warn the hubby not to wait up. Also, this will give the bride the window she needs to plan around the party that way, her plans won't clash with yours.

*Find Out What She Wants: You will need to know if your bride prefers sweet to sexy, Diablo to Disney or...well, you get the point. Make sure the party won't shock and awe her, unless she wants it that way. Take her personality and the personalities of the other guests into account. You want the night to be fun for all!

2 months before:

*Book your talent- Your party won't be the only one in town mysteriously happened upon by a rogue police officer in reeeeally short shorts. It's important to know anyone or thing you'll need to carry the night's theme will be ready and available to appear. This also goes for fog machines, margarita mixers and any other outside entity needed to bring out the best of the fest!

*Send confirmation- "Save the Date" emails to all invited to insure there are no schedule conflicts and everyone is aware of the event.

*Find/Hire a D.D.- It's no secret, brides like to kick back a drink or two during their single lady swan song. Since bachelorette parties and alchohol are two peas of an inseparable pod, find a designated driver well in advance. If this means hiring a limousine or shuttle service, so be it. You want the most fun night of the bride's life to also be the safest!

Alright MOH's, these are just a few of the must-do's so check in next time for pt. 2. of the Bachelorette Bonanza: Party Planning Checklist. Remember, you can always find wedding planning tips, vendors and more at PremierBrideHouston.com
